Pay to use, when promoted with router REPLY: Not needed, this router was plagued with issues - it's been returned and my Asus AX5700 is outperforming it with fewer bands at a lower cost.
What happened to this app? Not only does the certificate not work, all you get is a message saying the sites cannot be reached, and there is no longer a way to prevent the child from just uninstalling it from their Android device like there used to be, and more often than not it says cannot connect to Circle. Are any of these going to be fixed any time soon? Are you going to answer any of the people who are having the same issues?
Good for parents who have children who are fresh out of the birth ward otherwise it's kinda bad. Bedtimes work fine for me but I can easily bypass it by just force stopping the circle app in settings. Any blocked websites, like YouTube, can be easily accessed by doing the same thing previously. Or you can spoof a MAC address and bypass all of it without your parents phone blowing up like: "omg your child disconnected" Overall this app could use a few fail-safes.
Not perfect by far..but a fabulous tool to help keep families safe. Discuss with your family your expectations. Dont be afraid to set boundaries. *TURNING OFF THE VPN WILL SEND PARENTS A NOTIFICATION 👈
Theoretically this program would be wonderful and when it works it is great, but I've had new technical problems almost every day since I got it several months ago.
Kids with minimal knowledge will quickly realize they can circumvent the app by simply turning off the VPN in their phone settings. Might be ok for kids 5 or 6 years old but older than that and this becomes a total waste of time and money.
so hard to stay on top of all the technology. screens and screen time and what you playing on your phone 🤣 now with circle all the guesswork is gone. circle makes handling tech with a special needs kiddo so much easier for both of us. limits are set and parameters what's ok and what's not and circle takes care of. Brought home a friend's device all good circle picked up anew device in the house. Love this device. it is a lifesaver.....
